The NECA Awards are the electrical and communications industry’s highest accolade and one of the most prestigious awards programs in Australia.

These Awards recognise outstanding achievement across the industry nationally.
Entering the NECA Awards program provides an opportunity for your company to be acknowledged for outstanding commitment to excellence and professionalism.

The NECA Awards are open to all NECA members and their apprentices. The awards celebrate achievements across the entire industry through three dedicated programs

Small Business Awards

The NECA Small Business Awards are for NECA Members who are making an impact in the industry and deserve to be recognised at the highest level. The NECA Small Business Awards category criteria and submission process has been created specifically around the work delivered by small businesses.

 

The categories will include:

  1. Emerging Small Business
  2. Small Contracting Business of the Year
  3. Small Business Project of the Year

Apprentice Awards

The NECA awards are designed to recognise and reward apprentices and their employers for outstanding performance and commitment to the electrotechnology industry.

These awards present an excellent opportunity for employers who have dedicated time, effort and resources to the future of our industry by nurturing and supporting their workers to gain recognition from their peers and the community.

The categories will include:

  1. Commercial / Domestic Apprentice of the Year
  2. Industrial Apprentice of the Year
  3. ELV / Communications Apprentice of the Year

Women in Energy (Individual)

In recent years, we have seen many positive changes in the way the electrical and communications industry supports and encourages women to pursue career opportunities. At NECA, our aim is to keep building on these successes, working to increase female participation across all our industry sectors.  This award is open to any individual, regardless of gender or role, who is employed by a NECA member.

Entrants may be nominated or self-nominate for this award.

Leaders in Diversity (Business)

Having a diverse workforce brings many benefits for our staff, businesses, clients and the community. Many electrical and communications contracting businesses are already leading the way with policies and strategies that support diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
