Monday following ANZAC Day in 2026 will be marked as an RDO
On behalf of our members, NECA Victoria has negotiated with the ETU to amend the RDO calendar so that the Monday following ANZAC Day in 2026 — although not a recognised public holiday — will be marked as an RDO.
We have also secured the same arrangement for 2027. This outcome has been formally approved and signed off by the Chair of the ECIB.
Please see the changes below and view the amended 2026 RDO calendar.
2026 RDO Calendar
- Despite the 2026 RDO calendar marking Monday 27 April 2026 as a public holiday, it will cease to have the status of a public holiday;
- Instead, the RDO marked at Wednesday 23 December 2026 in the 2026 RDO calendar will be moved to 27 April 2026. Accordingly, Monday 27 April 2026 will be marked in a republished 2026 RDO calendar as an RDO.
- In place of the RDO marked on 23 December 2026 being transferred to 27 April 2026, the 23 December 2026 will cease to be an RDO. It will instead be marked in a republished 2026 RDO calendar as an annual leave day.
- All other days marked in the 2026 RDO calendar will remain unchanged.
