Build your capabilities in electrification, solar and compliance with fully funded technical mentoring
Building on the success of the 2023 Solar Victoria mentoring program, NECA Victoria is proud to deliver a new Technical Mentoring Program, fully funded by Solar Victoria, designed to strengthen capability, confidence and compliance across the electrical industry. This program provides fully funded mentoring and training opportunities for eligible electricians, licensed electrical inspectors, and contractors working in solar, battery, EV and electrification environments.
Through a blended delivery model, participants will gain access to face-to-face mentoring, online sessions and two technical webinars, all focused on helping practitioners meet rising standards and growing consumer demand.
What the program covers
Participants will receive technical mentoring across key priority areas, including:
- Load management, maximum demand, and energy monitoring
- Switchboard upgrades and inspections for electrification
- Solar and battery installations
- Electric vehicle chargers
- Commercial and industrial solar
Who is eligible?
The program is intended to benefit:
- Electricians
- Licensed electrical inspectors
- Solar Homes program participants referred by Solar Victoria's compliance team (full-fee service)
- Others approved by Solar Victoria
Program timeline and location
Mentoring will commence in January 2026 and will conclude on 31st August 2026. Training and mentoring will be delivered statewide, with specific components provided in regional areas outside metropolitan Melbourne.
