The NECA Awards are the electrical and communications industry’s highest accolade and one of the most prestigious awards programs in Australia.

These Awards recognise outstanding achievement across the industry nationally.
Entering the NECA Awards program provides an opportunity for your company to be acknowledged for outstanding commitment to excellence and professionalism.

The NECA Awards are open to all NECA members and their apprentices. The awards celebrate achievements across the entire industry through three dedicated programs

Excellence Awards

Small Business Awards

The NECA Small Business Awards are for NECA Members who are making an impact in the industry and deserve to be recognised at the highest level. The NECA Small Business Awards category criteria and submission process has been created specifically around the work delivered by small businesses.

The categories will include:

1. Emerging Small Business
2. Small Contracting Business of the Year
3. Small Business Project of the Year

Apprentice Awards

The NECA awards are designed to recognise and reward apprentices and their employers for outstanding performance and commitment to the electrotechnology industry.

These awards present an excellent opportunity for employers who have dedicated time, effort and resources to the future of our industry by nurturing and supporting their workers to gain recognition from their peers and the community.

The categories will include:

1. Commercial / Domestic Apprentice of the Year
2. Industrial Apprentice of the Year
3. ELV / Communications Apprentice of the Year

What is the NECA Victoria Awards 2024?

The NECA Victoria Awards 2024 celebrate excellence and innovation within the electrotechnology industry, honouring outstanding professionals and achievements.

When and where is the event?

Date: Friday, 30th August 2024

Time: 6:30pm to 11:59pm

Location: Palladium at the Crown Melbourne

Address: 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank, Melbourne 3006

Who should attend?

Electricians, business owners in the electrotechnology industry, as well as their friends and family are invited to enjoy a night of celebration and fun.

How do I register and get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online here.

Do I need to bring my ticket with me?

Attendees do not need a physical ticket. Upon arrival, your name will be listed on our seating chart.

What is the programme and activities for the evening?

• Starts with some pre-drinks in the Palladium foyer
• Move into the ballroom for the NECA Victoria Awards ceremony
• Be treated to a 3-course meal and a drinks package
• Be entertained by roving magicians, fire twirlers and live music delivered by the band Un-Limited

What is the attire for the event?

Black tie attire. Dress formal to celebrate the occasion.

Are there options for dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can cater for any dietary requirements entered into the system by 23rd of August. Post this date chefs cannot guarantee they will be able to cater for specific requirements.

How will seating arrangements be handled?

Seating arrangements are provided upon arrival. If you’ve purchased a table, you will be seated in the order the names were entered into the system. To request seating with someone specific, please email Mara Neumann at [email protected] by 23rd of August 2024.

Where can I park?

The multi-level car park at Crown Melbourne is recommended. Parking is $29.00 for the night.
