Clean Energy Regulator Suspends Greenbot

12 June 2024

The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) has permanently suspended Greenbot Pty Ltd's registration as of 11 June 2024. Consequently, Greenbot is no longer authorised to create renewable energy certificates.

This decision comes after an investigation revealed that Greenbot’s platform generated certificates that did not comply with the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) under the Renewable Energy Target.

For those affected, the CER provides guidance on next steps, including assessing the status of your claims, seeking legal advice, escalating cases to authorities, and planning future certificate claims.
